How many colleges and universities can Malaysia truly sustain?
Based on the US model of population and income and compare these with the equivalents for Taiwan and Malaysia….the wisdom of Taiwan’s decision to reduce her universities by one third is apparent. It means also that Malaysia cannot sustain the high number of tertiary institutions. Wake up call?

Deadline means you’re dead if this line is crossed!
It is high time we adopt and use the word “deadline” literally as it is. Unless we have the notion that something, someone, some event or someone’s career is going to die if this timeline is not observed, Malaysians will forever be a nation of procrastinators.

Rank universities by PTPTN default rate of their graduates
PTPTN should only give out loans to people who have the best chances of repaying and minimise its exposure to those with a high chance of default. Ranking of colleges by the rate of loan defaults by their graduates will allow PTPTN to be more equitable in distributing student loans.
