Thanks Yacob for the comment. Of course you are right. The Troubles is a lot more complex than what I could have explained. The target audience (my fellow countryman in Malaysia) would not have understood the message I tried to convey if I had included a full history of Northern Ireland in this article. The people of Malaysia which is composed of communities that are far more complex with almost all major world religions being practiced is in a greater precarious position than our friends in Northern Ireland. We should have a political mind of our own & not being led by 2-bits politicians stroking the fire to gain votes.

This response was from my reader, Mr. Chong Cheng Hai (former Editor-in-Chief, Focus Malaysia) posted to my Google+

Signage or lack of them in some stations needs to be inproved. I was at Bukit Bintang station and directions to platforms were printed on A4 photocopy paper! Surely, you can't save on such essential features just to be able to boast the project was below budget. Obviously those who conducted the trial runs didn't get enough feedback, if at all, from actual regular commuters and users. Maybe they did from their colleagues. Free rides and feedback forms prior to.launch would have resolved problems.

Yes, agree that SSPN-I saving is a basic savings for most Malaysians today. Although not much, but it's a good start to save for your kids future education. I have already open both type of savings for my kids and also promoting SSPN-I plus to those interested. You may get more info at this link: https://sspniplusonline.ptptn.gov.my/sspniplusonline/?id=000003621

Brigham Young University is creating an independent study survey course on World Religions. The university is looking for individuals who consider themselves Confucianists that would be willing to be interviewed for that course. The interview would focus on how Confucianism influences the day to day lives of practitioners, and a bit about the history and practices of Confucianism. If you consider yourself a Confucianist--or know someone who does--would you please let me know (alg@byu.edu). The university is not looking for scholars of Confucianism. Rather, it is looking for practitioners who would be willing to be interviewed on film (via Skype). Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Alonzo Gaskill

Reading through this post reminds me of my previous roommate!
He constantly kept talking about this. I most certainly will send this information to him.

Fairly certain he's going to have a great read.
I appreciate you for sharing!

Thanks David. There is an issue with the date of Wesak Day this year in Malaysia. The public service people suddenly went on the follow the Sri Lankan version while our Singaporean friends stuck to the "Chinese Buddhist" version. Thus my edition has June 1st as Wesak Day whereas in Malaysia we celebrated it on May 3rd with a replacement holiday on Monday May 4th!
