| There are no specific antibiotics for use in plants. All available antibiotics have been developped for human and animal use. | Classic antibiotics do only have a bacteriostatic effect and are not bactericidal in doses tolerated by the plants. They can mask temporary bacterial infestation. | So far no unequivocal diagnostic tool is available to prove an explant is bacteria free |
