Temperature |
Practically it is impossible to optimize temperature for each specific plant and each specific stage. For most plants the set point for room temperature during the day is 22 ± 2°C.
Night temperature is usually a few degrees lower.
Temperature in the culture container is higher (up to 5°C) than room temperature due to the greenhouse effect.
One of the major problems is to have a uniform temperature in the culture room. There are gradients.
Safety device: a maximum thermostat needs to be installed, which switches off the lights in case of too high temperature.
