The following damage case illustrates the
unexpected consequences of spraying imidazole fungicides in
some sensitive crops. Six months old plants of an A.
andreanum cv., grown on an NFT-system, accidentally
received prochloraz with the irrigation solution for several
weeks so that the fungicide accumulated in the substrate.
These plants developed a very high number of basal shoots and
had a normal, well developed root system.
