Endogenous
gibberellins might act as a 'brake' on the shoot inducing
effect of cytokinins. By removing this 'brake' by imidazole
fungicides the cytokinins can express their full shoot
inducing potential.

retardants, moreover, in this experiment PBZ
has similar effects on Spathiphyllum
