used in a range of 2-5%
Sucrose
in culture media is usually hydrolysed totally, or partially,
into the component monosaccharides, glucose and fructose (fig.
1)
Sucrose concentration
influences the photosynthetic behaviour of the cultures and as a
consequence the headspace composition (fig. 2)
